The stiff boom crane consists of metal structures such as pedestal, tower and boom, hoisting systems, luffing systems, winches and slewing mechanisms, as well as auxiliary equipment such as HPUs and cabs. Each crane has a fully enclosed box boom, which is available in a variety of sizes, is robust, non-bowed, and can be electro-hydraulically or diesel-hydraulically driven to provide high performance lifting capacity of 0-360° continuous rotation. The lifting range of the crane extends from small cranes with a SWL of 1 ton to heavy duty cranes with a SWL of over 200 tons.
Â
This crane can be 'tailor-made' to suit different environmental and operational requirements, and can also be designed and built to all major global ship registrations and quality systems (e.g. ABS, RINA, DNV, Lloyd's Register, API 2c). Typically used as shipboard or ship-to-ship cranes, it offers a diverse product range for the luxury yacht, marine, workboat, oilfield, coastguard or military industries, suitable for offshore operations on the deck of bulk carriers or where there is sufficient free space, commonly used in marinas, harbors and at sea.
